Being thankful for easy living
I was talking to my mom recently about the contrasts between life in the USA and overseas, particularly third world countries (where I grew up.)
I thought my mom had a cool perspective on it. She reminded me that instead of being bitter towards people in the USA who have so much more than those in other places, we should be thankful for what we have: running water, consistant electricity, good phone lines, nice houses and roads, etc. It’s easy to despise those who either have more or less than you, but we should just be thankful for what we have.
